Setup begins...

Dear Newcomer,
If you attended our opening service, you know that it was an exciting day!
Launching a new church is just the beginning - we are a church that helps people come to Jesus, grow in their faith, and build friendships to help them with the challenges of life. As you have probably already noticed, we are a church that loves to serve and connect with our community. We also want to be a church that is active in helping you with the spiritual development of your children.
Right now we are structuring ministries to meet the needs of people who have indicated their interest in Living Well Church. Jeanette, my wife and partner in ministry for twenty years, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and we plan to utilize her gifts in a unique way through the implementation of small groups and support groups. We believe Christian values paired with guidance from a professional counselor can bring help and healing to life's more complex issues.
We want to extend an invitation to you to join a small group. We meet from 9:30am-9:55am, gathering as a large group for 15 minutes followed by 10 minutes in smaller groups. From 10:00am to 10:30am take your time with your family to get the children situated and grab a bite to eat at the Friendship Cafe.
Due to your input on the 'Getting to Know You' cards we will continue to meet on Sunday nights for organizational purposes. If you are interested in adding your gifts and energy to the missional focus of Living Well we invite you to meet with us at our sponsor church, the First Church of the Nazarene, 411 13th Ave, Sterling from 6:00pm-7:00pm on Sundays. Let us know you are coming and we will meet you at the door.
We are hoping this letter conveys our love and the value we place on your desire for strong family values. We also want you to know there is room for you and your family at Living Well. If you are looking for a church home my prayer is that you will consider Living Well Church. You are always welcome here.
Sincerely,
Pastor John

VBS at John Dixon Park

Living Well had a great time hosting Group's Serengeti Trek at The John Dixon Park. The children were awesome! Through our daily challenges we learned to Know God, Talk to God, Love God, to Tell about God and Work for God. The children seemed to enjoy singing the Bible school songs. Many of them were singing the songs when it was time to leave. Pictured below are the kids getting ready for snack time.

Pictured below is Chadder's Adventure Theater. Chadder was a spunky chipmunk who liked to eat M&Ms. The kids enjoyed watching Chadder's adventures. Everyday Chadder had something to say about God. The pavilion was really useful for setting up our projector and having a little craft everyday.

Serengeti Trek Vacation Bible School
Living Well Church helped out at Manville Camp and Retreat Center. The children loved Group's Serengeti Trek. This is the same material we are planning to use in our Bible school coming soon to the John Dixon Park in Downtown Dixon. The children learned to: Know God, Talk to God and to Tell about God. The children connected to the theme of the Bible school as we played games, watched the adventures of Chadder the Chipmunk and spent time teaching them.

Living Well Float in Petunia Festival Parade
We enjoyed building a float to display in the parade. The float has a scaled down version of the Dixon arch, park benches and a well with running water. The name of our float is: Proud to be Living Well in Dixon. We gave away bottled water and cards with our contact information and grand opening date.
