Sunday May 1st will be our 1st Sunday in our new location. Over the course of the next month we will be relocating across the street at Dixon Floral and we will need every hand in the church to get this project done. Parking will be on the street, to the east in the city parking lots and to the south in the city lot that we will be sharing with our new neighbors, First Baptist. We will be setting up in stages, which means we will be taking down our set up here in stages as well. Some of our tech stuff and ministry spaces may take several weeks to put into place etc.. and of course it will take time to get things how we want them but there is much excitement about the move as we will have a chance to put some things in place that we have wanted to for a long long time. For example, our nursery has been doing the stop, drop and roll ever since we opened up the front room. I believe our move will give us a renewed confidence in making some facility investments that will bring some effectiveness and attractiveness to ministries.
We look forward to a long and fruitful landlord /tenant relationship with Dan and Shelly Long. Their sacrificial investment enables Living Well to continue to live out our core value of majoring on people instead of property and instead of mortgaging our future to build a building and inviting people to come to us, we can continue to meet in community spaces where the people are already frequent to shop, eat and meet. Our Trustees and Stewards will be leading us in the logistics of the move so that we can all play an important role in the moving process.
